Almost every franchise has its 'coulda, woulda, shoulda' season and for the Argos it was 1971. The 1971 Toronto Argonauts Cambridge Blue T-shirt brings back the club's official symbol used from 1960-75 on a 100% cotton Cambridge Blue tee. The Boatmen were the best team over the 1971 regular season with a 10-4 record and cruised into the Grey Cup at Empire Stadium against the Stampeders. Soaking wet turf and a dismal offensive performance put the Boatmen behind 14-3 at the half. They fought back and were only three points behind when an interception put them inside the Stamps 15 yard line with only a couple of minutes to go. The football gods were not with them that day as a Leon McQuay fumble and a punt return kicked out of bounds with less than a minute to go (the CFL rule at the time was that a ball kicked out of bounds by the receiving team was automatically given to the opposing team) ended up as a lost Grey Cup for the Double Blue. Made in Mexico and Screen Printed in Canada.
The 1971 Toronto Argonauts Cambridge Blue T-shirt is a Cupstuff exclusive item.
Available in size Medium, Large, Extra-Large and XXL.
